Megan & Pecos
When I reached out on a social media group for other creatives interested in modeling for an elopement styled shoot, I could not have imagined the magic that would unfold. Megan, a fellow photographer, volunteered herself, her husband and...their amazing, 1977 olive green VW bus. We immediately had a connection when I found out that this beautiful couples lives in San Angelo, a city where I lived for 3 years as I studied to become a Physical Therapist. Together, we came up with this beautiful, West Texas boho elopement concept that completely embraced the red earth, dry brush, and open skies of our beautiful state. And OF COURSE, Penny the bus was a major feature. I fangirled HARD when Megan's husband, Pecos, let my husband and I hitch a ride with them to our shoot location. We sat in the very back seat with our retro seatbelt couplings, windows open, clinging on to the floral arrangements and cake that the very talented Megan put together for us. It was 100+ plus degrees in San Angelo that day, and boy did we feel it every second. We set up, cracked open a few beers, and waited for the sun to settle. And then this happened. EASILY, my favorite session ever. In an age where objects and gratifying status plays such a huge role in our society, it was beautiful to be able to sit back and capture the intimacy of a couple in love-- no excess required. Just love. If you're thinking about eloping, hit. me. up. I would do this again 100x over.
A very special thank you to the following for helping bring this vision to life!
